Alex Falcon Huerta FCCA did not set out to reinvent accounting. She set out to build a business that gave her freedom - and in doing so, she ended up reimagining what a modern accounting firm could look like.
As the founder of Soaring Falcon, a multi-award-winning digital accountancy and business advisory firm, Alex has spent over a decade helping entrepreneurs and international businesses cut through complexity, automate the mundane, and grow with confidence. She is a Xero MVP, former ACCA International Assembly Member, and one of the Top 50 Women in Accounting - and she runs her practice from wherever in the world she happens to be, having now visited more than 50 countries.
Her work sits at the intersection of finance, technology, and strategy. Whether helping an overseas founder establish a UK entity, integrating AI into client workflows, or advising on cross-border expansion, Alex's approach is shaped by a simple conviction: business owners deserve a partner who looks forward, not one who hands them a historical report and calls it advice.
We asked Alex what drives her, what problem she is solving, and where Soaring Falcon goes next.
What inspired you to start Soaring Falcon?
Soaring Falcon was born from a belief that business should be about freedom, opportunity, and impact—not being tied down by inefficient processes or outdated ways of working.
Throughout my career, I've worked with businesses ranging from ambitious start-ups to international organisations, helping them navigate growth, expansion, and change. I saw first-hand that many business owners were receiving historical reports when what they really needed was strategic advice, actionable insights, and a trusted partner who could help them look ahead.
I've always been passionate about technology, innovation, and finding smarter ways to work. Combining my background in accounting, business advisory, technology, and security, I founded Soaring Falcon to create a firm that embraces the future—where technology handles the repetitive tasks, allowing people to focus on strategy, relationships, and growth.
The business also reflects my own lifestyle. As a digital nomad, I've had the privilege of travelling the world while running Soaring Falcon, working from different countries and experiencing diverse cultures and business environments. This global perspective has helped me build strong relationships with clients across multiple jurisdictions and better understand the opportunities and challenges that businesses face in an increasingly connected world.
What problem are you solving?
At its heart, Soaring Falcon helps businesses remove barriers to growth.
Many business owners are overwhelmed by administration, disconnected systems, and information overload. They often have access to data but struggle to turn it into meaningful decisions. Others want to expand internationally or modernise their operations but don't know where to start.
We help solve these challenges by combining strategic advice, technology, automation, and financial expertise. Whether it's helping an overseas entrepreneur establish a business in the UK, supporting a growing company with international expansion, automating processes, or providing clarity through better reporting, our focus is always on helping clients work smarter and grow with confidence.
One of the most rewarding aspects of what we do is working with incredible clients from around the world. From innovative founders and technology businesses to international entrepreneurs looking to establish a UK presence, we're fortunate to work alongside people who are building exciting businesses and making a real difference in their industries.
What's next for you?
The future is incredibly exciting.
I'm continuing to explore how AI, automation, and emerging technologies can transform the way businesses operate and how professional services are delivered. My goal is to help clients spend less time on administration and more time creating value, while ensuring they have access to the insights they need to make informed decisions.
We're also developing new solutions that integrate directly with platforms such as Xero, creating smarter workflows and automating complex accounting processes. At the same time, I want to continue supporting businesses that are looking to expand internationally, particularly those establishing operations in the UK and navigating cross-border opportunities.
Personally, I plan to continue embracing the digital nomad lifestyle, travelling, learning from different cultures, and bringing those global insights back to the businesses and communities I serve. The world is becoming increasingly connected, and I believe the most successful businesses of the future will be those that think globally while acting locally.
Ultimately, my vision for Soaring Falcon remains simple: to help businesses soar higher by combining technology, expertise, innovation, and human connection to create lasting success.
