Abbe Feder: Turning Pain into Purpose—A Fertility Journey That Became a Mission

Part of the series: 30 Founders Shaping the Future of Wellness in 2025
Abbe Feder’s path to founding InCircle Fertility wasn’t one she ever planned to take. Like so many who find themselves in the trenches of infertility, she became an expert by necessity—through twelve grueling attempts, heart-wrenching losses, and years of uncertainty. What began as a personal struggle evolved into a lifeline for others when she and her husband started their podcast, Maculate Conception, as a way to process their grief. The overwhelming response from strangers around the world—echoing "This is me too"—revealed a glaring gap in fertility care: the need for compassionate, experienced guidance that bridges the medical and emotional sides of the journey.
With a background in behavioral science and the hard-earned wisdom of lived experience, Abbe built InCircle Fertility to offer what she wished she’d had—a steady hand to navigate the chaos, a voice to cut through the noise, and a space where clients feel understood, not isolated. Her approach isn’t just about protocols and test results; it’s about helping people reclaim agency in a process that often leaves them feeling powerless. Through one-on-one coaching, tailored support, and unfiltered conversations on her Women’s Wellness podcast, she’s dismantling the shame and loneliness that too often accompany fertility challenges.
At its core, InCircle Fertility is a testament to Abbe’s resilience—proof that even the most painful journeys can lead to purpose. Here, she shares more about her story, her methods, and the community she’s created to ensure no one has to walk this path alone.
Abbe, what was the turning point in your own fertility journey that inspired you to create InCircle Fertility and support others navigating similar challenges?
Like many people who go on to become a Founder after a deeply personal experience, I became an expert in something I never wanted to be an expert in. After twelve attempts, a miscarriage, and an ectopic pregnancy, my six-year journey to motherhood was long, messy, and emotionally brutal—but it also cracked me open in ways I couldn’t have predicted. In the midst of it, my husband and I launched a podcast called Maculate Conception to process our grief and isolation. What we didn’t expect was how many people—strangers from around the world—would reach out to say: This is me too.
Almost accidentally, I became a person people turned to with their fertility questions. Not just about the science and protocols, but about the emotional toll: What do I ask the doctor? Is this normal? Am I making the right decision? Will my marriage survive? And slowly, I realized there was a gap that needed filling. Not just patient advocacy, but someone who understands both the heartbreak and the process. Someone who can help you move through the chaos with clarity and compassion.
I have a background in behavioral science, and that, combined with my lived experience, gave me the tools to do exactly that. Founding InCircle Fertility was my way of turning that pain into purpose. I created the kind of support I wish I had—so no one has to face this journey feeling lost or alone.
InCircle Fertility blends personal experience with advocacy—how do you balance emotional support with helping clients make empowered medical decisions?
Fertility challenges, or any medical challenge for that matter, are never just medical. They’re emotional, logistical, relational—and can be all-consuming. When clients come to me, they’re usually overwhelmed by the volume of hard decisions they’re expected to make, often with limited context and very little emotional bandwidth. My role is to help them exhale first. To process the fear, grief, frustration, or confusion that’s clouding their ability to move forward and feel like they can gain control of a very out of control process. I call it my “GLOW” method:
Gain Control
Learn What Works
Ovary Love
WIN!
Once we’ve made space for that, we can approach the practical decisions with more clarity and confidence. I help clients understand their options, prepare for appointments, interpret complex medical information, and communicate more effectively with their care teams. I’m not a doctor, but I am the person who sits beside them—calmly, clearly, and without judgment—helping them connect the dots between what their heart needs and what their body requires. It’s a partnership.
Infertility can be an isolating experience; how does InCircle Fertility create a sense of connection and community for those going through it?
Infertility has a way of making you feel like you’re the only one stuck in place while everyone else is moving forward. It’s invisible, stigmatized, and emotionally exhausting. At InCircle, connection isn’t a bonus—it’s central to the experience. I make sure clients feel seen, safe, and free to say the things they often can’t say out loud anywhere else.
That spirit of honesty and solidarity also shows up in my current podcast, Women’s Wellness with Abbe Feder, where I have raw, unfiltered conversations with experts and everyday people navigating fertility and many other wellness topics. It’s another way to remind listeners: you are not alone in this. The more we normalize these conversations, the more shame dissolves—and true community begins. Clients often tell me, “I didn’t know how much I needed this until I found it.” That’s the goal: to create the kind of connection that carries you through even the hardest parts of the journey.
