Allison Byers is a passionate leader with 15+ years' experience building and leading start-ups. She has focused her career on using data to understand and influence human behavior in a wide range of industries. Allison recently founded Scroobious, a video pitch platform for diverse start-ups including Black, Latinx, women, LGBTQ+, and veteran founders to be discovered by and connected to angels, venture capitalists, and corporate investors. Prior to Scroobious, Allison co-ran a start-up medical device company where she successfully raised nearly $10M and experienced the inefficiencies of fundraising first-hand. She has also been the Director of online media & search at Compete (now Comscore) and a Senior Consultant at The Brookeside Group. Allison received her MBA in Marketing Strategy and Business Analysis from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University and her BA with Honors, summa cum laude, in Psychology and Philosophy from Syracuse University.

In November 2019, Margo Wickersham noticed blood in her urine. She thought she had a urinary tract infection. Three months later, she was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Her first doctor diagnosed her with Stage 1 High Grade Urethral Carcinoma and prescribed BCG therapy. But something didn't feel right,
