After a decade in finance and a CFO title to show for it, Ruchi Pinniger felt that something essential was missing. She traded the corner office for a purpose-driven path and founded [Watch Her Prosper](https://watchherprosper.com/?ref=foundedbywomen.org)®, a financial mentorship firm that helps women business owners understand the beliefs and behaviors that keep them stuck.

Having worked with thousands of women, Ruchi has seen the same pattern again and again: phrases like "I'm not good with money" are treated as fixed truths, when they are usually inherited stories. Her RIR Method™ (Recognize, Interrupt, Reframe™) gives founders a simple way to question those beliefs before they shape what they charge, invest in, and decide.

We spoke with Ruchi about why she left Wall Street, the money beliefs holding women back, and what is next for Watch Her Prosper as more wealth moves into the hands of women.

### Q: What made you leave Wall Street and start Watch Her Prosper?

For a long time, I was doing all the “right” things. I had a successful career on Wall Street, checking every traditional box of achievement. But despite the external success, I found myself feeling deeply dissatisfied, like something essential was missing. I had this persistent, quiet knowing that I was meant to do something bigger and more meaningful.

I didn’t have a master plan when I traded in my CFO title. I just knew I needed to find a path that aligned more with who I really was. I hired a coach, and she asked me to tune in and listen to my inner voice about the opportunities and lessons in front of me. That’s when things started to click. I began meeting incredible women who were launching businesses but consistently saying the same things: “I’m not good at the numbers” or “The finances stress me out.” I realized I could merge my financial expertise with my passion for empowering women and do it in a way that felt purposeful and personal. That was the beginning of Watch Her Prosper®, born from the intersection of practical financial strategy and deep inner mindset work.

### Q: What money beliefs do women business owners most often get stuck on?

The most common belief I hear is “I’m not good with money.” Women say it like it’s fixed, like it’s just who they are. But it’s a story, and usually one they inherited, not one they chose. Our beliefs about money often start at a young age. What we see and hear about money growing up shapes our financial habits later in life in ways most of us don’t even realize.

The second belief I commonly hear is that wanting more is greedy or selfish. So many women are comfortable helping everyone else build wealth, but deeply uncomfortable claiming it for themselves. And these beliefs don’t just affect how women feel. They affect real decisions: what they charge, what they invest in, whether they look at their numbers at all. I’ve worked with thousands of women and one thing I continue to stand by is that your business revenue will never outperform your relationship with money.

That’s why I developed my RIR Method™ (Recognize, Interrupt, Reframe™). First, you recognize the thought. Then you interrupt it by pausing and asking yourself, “Is this actually true?” Finally, you reframe it into something more supportive. So instead of “It’s so hard to make money. There is never enough,” you shift to “Money flows easily to me. I am so grateful for my abundance.” When you change what you believe is possible, you start seeing new paths forward. Prosperity is an inside job. The strategy matters, but the mindset work has to come with it.

### Q: What’s next for Watch Her Prosper, and what would you tell women building their own business?

We’re deepening our work at the intersection of financial strategy and mindset at Watch Her Prosper, because that’s where lasting change actually happens. Everything we build is designed to help women stop waiting to feel ready and start making decisions from a place of clarity and confidence. As the great wealth transfer unfolds and more wealth flows to women, the mindset work becomes just as critical as the financial strategy. Our goal is to make sure that when that wealth arrives, women feel safe holding it and confident making decisions with it.

For women building their own business, it’s important to remember that limiting money beliefs don’t just disappear when their business grows. If anything, the stakes get higher and the beliefs get louder. The work is learning to recognize your blocks before they make decisions for you. And to know your number; this isn’t your revenue goal or your dream launch date. It’s the cost of running your business and your life, at the level you actually want. Most women have never calculated that, and it makes every financial decision harder than it needs to be. You can’t build toward something you haven’t defined. True prosperity is bigger than money alone. It’s freedom, peace, and purpose. And it begins when you choose to believe it’s available for you.
