Noemi Alvarez is a Zurich-based entrepreneur and commercial growth leader, and the Founder and CEO of [InsightSphere](https://insightsphere.co/?ref=foundedbywomen.org). Its conversational AI expert helps companies engage with website visitors, uncovering their needs and buying intent so sales teams can focus on the right opportunities, and marketing can capture a new layer of insights about their traffic. A two-time founder, Noemi has spent more than 20 years turning digital shifts into commercial growth, from eBay, Kuoni and DeinDeal to building her own digital growth consultancy. InsightSphere reflects her latest focus: making conversational AI work for both buyers and businesses.

In this Q&A, Noemi shares what inspired her to bring the approach of a skilled sales manager to the website experience, what companies often miss about the people visiting their site, how buyer conversations turn into prioritized opportunities, and what she would tell women thinking about building a startup.

Her perspective is a reminder that clicks show what a visitor viewed, while a conversation shows why they came, and that the strongest startups begin with a problem the founder understands deeply.

### Q: What inspired you to start InsightSphere, and why did you choose a conversational AI expert?

After more than 20 years in commercial roles, I saw how much a good conversation can reveal about an online buyer: what they need, what matters to them and what might be holding them back. I wanted to bring some of that understanding to the website experience, where buyers often have to navigate information on their own.

That inspired us to build a conversational AI expert with the friendly, emotionally intelligent approach of a skilled sales manager. It helps people explore their options and get relevant answers without making them feel pressured.

### Q: What do companies often fail to understand about people visiting their website?

They may know which pages visitors view and what elements they clicked, but not why they came, what they are trying to achieve, or how close they are to making a decision. A visitor might be ready to speak with sales; someone else may still be comparing options or checking whether a solution fits their needs. Website analytics fail to capture this context.

### Q: How does InsightSphere use buyer conversations to uncover intent and help businesses prioritize opportunities?

The expert uses the company's information to answer questions and guide each conversation. It can capture structured signals such as a visitor's needs, eligibility, intent and budget. InsightSphere then creates a concise summary and sends the relevant information to the company's CRM, giving sales teams useful context to decide which opportunities to focus on, and giving marketing a new layer of insights about their traffic.

### Q: What's next for InsightSphere, and what advice would you give to women thinking about building a startup?

We're focused on making our conversational expert genuinely useful and enjoyable to talk to: intelligent enough to respond naturally, and thoughtful enough to ask the questions that reveal the most valuable revenue signals for each client. Our next step is to keep training and improving it by analysing conversations and gathering customer feedback.

My advice to women considering a startup is to build around a problem you understand deeply, one that matters to a clearly defined group of people. Spend time with potential customers and listen carefully before deciding what to build. Once you've confirmed the problem is worth solving, establish your credibility in the field. And surround yourself with a strong, multidisciplinary team that includes people with startup experience.
