I'm a 16-year-old high school student from Greece, and I'm the founder and developer of AllMindsLearn, a free educational platform for students with learning difficulties. I didn't start [AllMindsLearn](https://www.foundedbywomen.org/women-who-lead/from-bcg-to-building-her-own-tanu-himatsingka-on-launching-zaryth-ventures/) as a business idea. It came from my family. My younger brother has learning disabilities, and I had seen how much effort went into finding ways to make studying easier for him. There are plenty of useful resources online, but they're scattered across different websites, which makes it hard to find what actually works for a specific student. I started wondering if there could be one place that brought these tools together. So I decided to build it myself. I had no team. I taught myself what I needed and built the platform from scratch. The first version took about three weeks, and I launched AllMindsLearn in July 2026\. It's completely free and includes tools for reading, writing, math and concentration: text-to-speech, speech-to-text, Bionic Reading, focus tools and mathematical visualization. There are also dedicated resources for dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and ADHD, plus guidance for parents and educators. > Know a founder (or are one) doing incredible work? **Founded by Women Awards** are open for entries. I was interested in a problem, and curious about whether I could solve it. As a 16-year-old girl building a technology platform on my own, I've realized how unusual my position is. I'm still in high school while learning to code, developing the platform, and talking to researchers and educators. That's one reason I'm glad to share this story. I think girls interested in technology should see that they don't have to wait until they're older, or have years of experience, before they start building something. I didn't need to already think of myself as a founder. I had a problem I cared about, and I learned what I needed along the way. ### Taking AllMindsLearn beyond Greece One of the most unexpected parts of this project has been the chance to talk with people outside Greece about it. I presented AllMindsLearn to professionals at the University of Malta, including members of its Access and Disability Support Unit, and discussed the platform with people working directly with students who have disabilities and learning difficulties. Their feedback gave me new ideas about where to take the platform next, and pushed me to think less about adding features and more about designing around students' actual needs. I've also started conversations with people in assistive technology, education and computer science internationally, including contacts connected with the Assistive Technology Center at The College of New Jersey. These conversations matter to me because I'm not just building something and putting it online. I get to hear how people working in different countries and fields think about accessibility and learning support, and use that to keep improving the platform. About two months after launch, AllMindsLearn had reached more than 350 users across 21 countries. Most came from Greece, the United States and France, but there were also users from Malta, Canada, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, China, New Zealand and India. The project has also started getting attention back home, including a feature from Fresh Education in Greece. Seeing that international response so early made me realize the problem I first noticed in my own family is much bigger than I thought. ### What comes next Keeping AllMindsLearn completely free is one of my main priorities. I don't want access to learning tools to depend on whether a family can afford another subscription. For now, I want to keep improving the platform, add more resources and tools, and keep learning from the people I get to connect with around the world. I'm still 16, and still figuring things out. But I've learned that you don't have to wait until you're older, or have a company, or years of experience, before you start building something. I saw a problem affecting someone close to me, couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, and decided to try building it myself.
