Anita Miklovicova is the Founder and CEO of [AIM ATTITUDE](https://aimattitude.com/?ref=foundedbywomen.org), a Los Angeles-based Human Experience Brand that brings identity and emotional intelligence into storytelling, educational content and purposeful lifestyle products. Before building her own brand, she spent years in leadership in luxury hospitality.

In this Q&A, Anita shares how a lesson from her mother and her years in hospitality shaped the way she cares for people, why AIM began as a wish to share what she carried within her rather than a plan to build a brand, and what she tells founders who want to build trust without a marketing budget.

Her story is a reminder that trust grows through honesty, genuine care and consistent actions, and that a limited budget does not have to define what is possible.

### Q: You spent years in luxury hospitality before building your own brand. What from that world ended up shaping how you work today?

Growing up, my mother told me, “It takes a second to make a mistake, and sometimes a lifetime to make up for it.” Having experienced pain early in life, I wanted to understand human behavior and choose not to pass that pain on to others. Caring for people came naturally to me, and hospitality became a beautiful environment where I could practice those values, learn from incredible professionals, and grow. I saw work as an education. Yet, throughout my journey, I kept feeling a calling to do more, to reach more people and share what I had learned. That calling eventually led me to AIM ATTITUDE®.

### Q: When you started, how did you decide what the brand should feel like to people, and how do you keep that consistent?

I never set out to create a brand. I simply wanted to share what I carried within me. My mother taught me unconditional love, patience, and the courage to begin again. Whenever I fell, she would smile and say, “That’s okay. Start again. Enjoy yourself. Smile.” I wanted others to experience that same love, energy, and sense of possibility. From that desire, the AIM logo was born and eventually became a brand. I remain faithful to the original purpose, regardless of changing trends: encouraging every I AM to embrace their truth, dreams, and passion for life.

### Q: What would you tell a founder who wants to build something people trust but has no marketing budget yet?

I would say, don’t allow a limited budget to define your possibilities. When I couldn’t afford an education, I chose to work and viewed every opportunity as a classroom where I could learn from professionals while earning a living. Building a business begins with understanding your purpose and the value you want to bring to people’s lives. Money can support growth, but trust grows through honesty, genuine care, and consistent actions. Your vision requires your time, attention, patience, and love. Keep learning, creating, and showing up every day. Every positive choice contributes to what you’re building.
